There are several industrial areas in Turin that in recent years have been redevelop. A precursor of the trend was the intervention made by the Maglificio Calzificio Torinese industrial complex, founded in 1994 by the Basic Group, which it doesn't only relaunched the "Robe di Kappa" brand but transformed the factory spaces by returning them to the city under the name of " Basic Village ".
The recovery of the MCT's historic headquarters has given new commercial and residential functions: in the building, in addition to the Robe di Kappa company store and some shops, there is a restaurant, a bank, a bar, a roof garden and a multi-storey car park. The offices on the ground floor and the entire extension of the former cutting and packaging departments on the first floor are used as offices, and research and development of the Basic Group. On the top floor there are some lofts for residential and office use.
There are two Isolpack products used to recover the structure: R/W 1000 corrugated sheets were used for the walls and external covers. Inside the building there are the DECK SIGMA insulating panels, ideal for flat roofing for the application of further coatings.
