The History of the Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR) of Turin began in 1884 when were built, over a period of about ten years, a new hub for repairing locomotives and railway vehicles.
The New OGR can be defined as a platform for innovation and research, based on the meeting between multiple disciplines and on the production of content through public partners and companies able to convey investments on the territory.
To understand the complexity and the extent of the works, some representative figures of the size of the OGR may be useful. The project includes:

20,000 square meters of floorings, replacement of approximately 24,000 square meters of roofing with Isolpack Lithos 5 panels, replacement of 1,125 window frames,

5 km of piping and underground services,

50,000 square meters of different types of paints to be laid on metal structures,

13,000 square meters of accommodation in outdoor areas,

electrical systems and technologies extremely flexible,

air conditioning system with radiant floor panels.
